HEY YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

Yosemite National Park ~ Day Trip

I grew up watching all american movies and created this dream world in my head of camping trips with the fam that involved swimming in the lake, staying in a wooden lodge, scary stories and marshmallows around the fire… you know what I'm talking about.
Yosemite National Park is exactly that, amazing views and wildlife aside the park is filled with families staying in those wooden cabins, hiking trips, people playing on inflatables in the lake, lots of laughing, dreamy picnic spots, overflowing camper vans and some seriously ugly hiking boots.
The place is magic and if you ever have the opportunity to visit make sure you at least stay one night even more if you can. I would have loved to spend more than just one day at this magical place.

HEY SAN FRANCISCO

Day Twenty Four ~ After leaving hot n sweaty Vegas we got a surprise upgrade to first class on our flight to San Francisco. What a time to be alive right? Livin the high life, drinking from a glass and allowed to use real cutlery... Talk about luxury! Once we arrived in San Fran we Uber’d our way to our Airbnb. We were greeted with another surprise when we arrived, a very cold San Francisco. We put on all our clothes for warmth and headed out to explore the local neighbourhood ‘Divisadero street’ to be specific, we found cute store after cute store, picked up a bunch of pins and patches, ate some yummy pasta, spotted Hugh Laurie filming a new show and walked around for as long as we could before we froze our little butts off.

Day Twenty Five ~  got straight out of bed, got ready and headed out to the wharf for our Alcatraz tour, which was really really cool, everyone there is listening to the same portable guided tour so everyones on the same knowledge page, after exploring the island we headed back for a city tour, our bus driver was the coolest dude he customised the tour for our group and showed us an insane amount of pretty San Fran. After the city tour we walked down Lombard street (The famous crooked road with way too many tourists and overflowing flowerbeds) then made our way to North Beach (Little Italy) on the hunt for a dinner spot, made our way through China Town and eventually after spotting way too many cute houses we headed back to our Airbnb.

Day Twenty Six ~ Yosemite National Park! ~ Full photo diary coming tomorrow

Day Twenty Seven ~ Our last day in San Francisco, By this point I was completely in love with the city... the way it looks, feels and everyone inside it doing cool and exciting things. It’s the place to be and I wasn’t happy at all with leaving so soon. We started our day with bananas and very sleepy moods, we walked to the beginning of Haight Street and walked into every store that tickled our fancy (so many amazing vintage shops) until we finished the street and needed some lunch, after a salad bagel we headed to Valencia street in the Mission area, we explored Valencia street, admired all the street art, shopped a bit more and eventually finished up and headed home for a burger in Divisadero and sleep!

See you again soon San Francisco!
